I think I want a D and D Bulldog puppy, now what?

Please look and read through our website and Facebook page (D and D Bulldogs -

https://www.facebook.com/pg/DandDBulldogs) at our information and our Bulldogs. Please contact us (call 610-944-6468 or e-mail DandDKennel@AOL.com) with any questions you may have. Do you have questions about dogs in general, our dogs, or things like the breed, health, care, etc specifically on Bulldogs? Just ask us! We are happy to answer your questions and help prepare you for your future Bulldog. References are also available upon request. Please recall as mentioned previously on our website I am a member of the AKC Parent Club the Bulldog Club of America, AKC Specialty Club the Lenape Bulldog Club of Pennsylvania, and the all breed club the Berks County Dog Training Club. You can find me on the breeder referral pages of of both the Bulldog Club of America and Lenape Bulldog Club, as well as PawPointer.comTestimonials from our past puppies/dogs new owners can also be seen on our website and Facebook page

In the following information please click onto the links - if you have any issues please let us know so we can help you get to the information. We ask that you please take the time to read information on Bulldogs on the Bulldog Club of America's website: Bulldog Health - Health Care (please read all categories including - Vaccination Basics, Breathing, Skin, Digestion, Eyes, Ears, Feet, Muschuloskeletal, Urogenetal). We ask that you read that information in order to help further inform you of health problems that you can potentially encounter with a Bulldog. Please keep in mind some issues mentioned on the BCA's website are very common in Bulldogs, some are very rare, and some may occur in any breed of dog. We ask that you please take the time to read information on Bulldogs on the Bulldog Club of America's website:Bulldog Maintenance (please read all categories including: Socialization, Safety, Grooming, Travel). We also recommend reading the Bulldog Pamphlets on the Bulldog Club of America's website for additional tips.  We ask that you read that information in order to help inform you about the care Bulldogs require. We really appreciate you taking the time to read that information and educate yourself and your family on health and care of Bulldogs. I'm sure it will help you to be better prepared for your future Bulldog.

Having a Bulldog experienced veterinarian is very important. We do encourage you to find a veterinarian prior to bringing your new Bulldog into your home. If you need a veterinarian please contact Dr Rossi of North Penn Animal Hospital in Lansdale, PA. I highly recommend him. He is very good with Bulldogs as well as other animals. He should be able to care for your Bulldog's routine care as well if an issue arises. If an animal should have an issue that he cannot treat, he should be able to refer you to another veterinarian who can.

If you have checked out our website or contacted us and find that we currently have or are expecting a litter of puppies at a time that would fit nicely for you and your family, you are ready for the next step.

When all of your questions have been answered and you are 100% sure you want to purchase a Bulldog puppy from D and D Bulldogs, we ask that you submit the waiting list application (found at the end of this page).

Upon acceptance of your application, a nonrefundable $500 deposit is required. The balance will be due at the time you pick up your puppy.  Please contact us for payment information. Why is a nonrefundable $500 deposit required you may wonder? Accepting your deposit is our promise that we are selling you the puppy, and you sending the deposit is your promise to purchase our puppy. If we have puppies available now, this deposit is to reserve one specific puppy. If we are expecting a litter - the deposit reserves a puppy for you. For future puppies we accept deposits for male or female puppies - so please make sure you specify male or female when applying for a puppy. We do not accept deposits for color(s) of future puppy. Please note if you are applying to be added to the waiting list for a future puppy - submitting the application is not what secures your location on the waiting list. Waiting list placement is based upon when the deposit is received.  Please note that we do not sell breeders. All puppies being sold as pets are sold with spay/neuter contract and limited AKC registration. If you are interested in a show dog please inquire for more information and show dog application.

Please keep in mind I have first pick out of every litter. Puppies that are show prospects I may keep for myself to show or hold back for a show home. Puppies that are not held back as show prospects will be available to pet homes. For example if you are first on the waiting list for the gender puppy you selected - you are first pick from the pet puppies.

Puppies will be selected in order deposits are received. If we do not have the desired sex available, if there is a puppy available of the opposite sex you will have the option of choosing him/her, OR waiting for the next litter. If we do not have a puppy for you within the year you placed the deposit you have the option of remaining on our waiting list or having your deposit will be refunded.

After we receive your deposit you will be informed of you placement on the waiting list. After your deposit has been received we will keep you informed as things progress and be contacted after puppies are born, and receive regular updates on the puppies.

We do not allow visitors during the first seven weeks of the puppies' life to help protect them from germs and to allow Mom to relax and tend to her babies. After the puppies are vaccinated and seven and a half weeks old, you are welcome to visit. In the meantime please keep any eye out for picture and video updates of the puppies. We try to send out updates on a regular basis, that way you stay updated on your puppy before he/she comes home. It is not unusual for new owners to pick out their puppies through pictures and videos.

After you take your puppy home, you can expect help and advice from us for as long as you have your dog. We love to get regular updates, by phone or email, whatever is convenient for you, and we really love getting photos so we can see how the puppies are growing. Updates can also be posted to our website or Facebook page. Please don't forget about us after you take your puppy home!
