On occasion we may have an adult Standard Poodle available for adoption.

Please keep in mind when we have an adult Standard Poodle come available for adoption this is one of our retired show dogs - not a rescue from somewhere else, not a dog who has been mistreated/neglected/abused, or is unwanted, etc. This is a dog who has always had a home, has been well cared for, and will continue to have a home here with us and will be continued to be cared for. There is no rush or deadline for the dog to get a new home. The dog will not just go to the first person who inquires, but the person/family who will be a good fit. The first step is to fill out the application on our website. This helps us to determine who is seriously interested in adopting our dog. If the application process should go well, and you adopt the dog, but then the dog does not fit into your family/home then you are to return her. There is a nonrefundable adoption fee.

Have your ever owned a dog before? Have you ever owned a Standard Poodle before? Why do you want an adult Standard Poodle?

Do you currently own and dogs or othe pets that the dog would come into contact with? What kind(s)? How many? What gender(s)? Spayed/neutered or not (if not why nt)? Age? Are they social with other dogs?

Do you have a fenced in yard? Do you have a dog crate?I Are you willing to work with a dog that may or may not be housebroken? If not are you willing to get a crate for the dog you're interested in adopting? Are you willing to work with a dog that may or may not be housebroken? Are you willing to spend time to train this dog? If you currentl hae dogs, are you willin to train the dog(s)?

Have you researched and decided on pet services? ( it is better to get established sooner rather than later as many have a longer wait time or may be accepting new clients by the time you reach out to schedule an appointment. Please do not wait until an appointment is needed, Examples of pet services include veterinarian, groomer, trainer, etc)?
