Purrwind Cattery Sales Information
Please see the Kittens for sale of our website for available kittens we do try to keep it frequently updated to ensure accuracy of currently available kittens. You should see at least one photo of each available kitten on the kittens for sale page of our website. Additional pictures and or videos may be seen on our Facebook page Purrwind Cattery. We try to keep the kittens' pictures updated on a regular basis.
We have purebred cats. All Ragdolls are TICA registered. All Persians are CFA registered. All of our kittens are very friendly and loving since they are handled on a regular basis. All kittens are dewormed and receive their age appropriate vaccinations before going to their new homes.

Kittens will each come with a kitten kit including a food sample, NuVet Vitamin sample and information, a toy, and registration papers (TICA registration for Ragdolls or CFA registration for Persians - registration will be sent to new owners after they send us proof that the kitten has been spayed/neutered).

Please note no kitten is sold spayed/neutered unless otherwise specified. Our kittens can start leaving for their new homes at 8-12 weeks of age which at that age and prior to that age is too soon for a kitten to be spayed/neutered and could result in other health problems from spaying/neutering too early. Kittens should be spayed/neutered at 6-12 months of age. Cats should of course be spayed/neutered at age appropriate times as it will be best for the health of the cat as well as help in making the cat a better pet.
Most of our kittens are placed as pets into pet homes which therefore come with a spay/neuter contract. Average pricing for Persian kittens is $1,200 and Ragdolls average at $1,200.
A non refundable deposit is required to reserve a kitten. Deposits are not transferable. Us accepting a deposit is our promise to you that we will hold the kitten for you. Your deposit is your promise to us that you want the kitten. This is to determine serious buyers. A deposit to reserve a kitten is nonrefundable $200. We can accept deposits through PayPal.com which allows you to pay by credit or debit card, and it allows for the deposit to be sent and received right away so you can quickly reserve the kitten you would like. Please note when using PayPal please add the 3% that PayPal charges us, thank you. Please note kittens are sold on a first come first serve policy - a deposit is required to reserve a kitten. Because it is not uncommon to receive multiple inquiries on kittens please check with us before sending in a deposit to reserve a kitten. Accepted payment methods at time of pick up are PayPal or cash. Final payment is due at time of pick up. We are sorry, but - Pennsylvania does require tax to be collected on all pets, items, and services sold, so in addition to the price of the kitten there is 6% Pennsylvania Sales Tax.
Please note that we do not allow kittens to be visited prior to receiving at least their first vaccination - this is to help ensure the health of all of our kittens. We also ask that you do not visit other catteries, pet stores, etc to help ensure that you do not pick illness etc up and carry it over to our young kittens. Appointments to meet kittens are available to those seriously interested in purchasing a kitten.
Please note whether you are coming to pick up your new kitten or meet available kitten(s) I do everything by appointment only.
We are located in Fleetwood, PA. New owners are expected to come here to Fleetwood, PA to pick up their kitten unless otherwise agreed upon. For those who are not local or unable to come pick up their kitten transportation services may be available.
On occasion ground transportation may be available locally - price may vary depending on location (please note we do not deliver to personal residences - public locations only).
Transportation services arranged by us are usually where we transport the kitten to the airport, the kitten goes on a flight to the airport you requested and you pick up the kitten from the airport. There is an additional fee for this which is usually about $500. There is a fee as there are additional things we must do before the kitten can leave on the airline - in order for us to place a kitten on a flight the kitten must get veterinarian issued travel papers within so many days of the flight, a travel crate, transportation to the airport, and then there is cost of the flight itself. All kittens must be reserved with a nonrefundable $200, and paid for in full before leaving for their new homes, however with kittens being transported they must be paid for in full including transportation services no later than one week before scheduled transportation.
*UPDATE* - due to the Covid-19 pandemic for health precautions we will not be offering to transport any kittens. Kittens must be picked up here in Fleetwood, PA.
If you have any questions or concerns about anything - sale information, kittens, transportation, etc please contact me with questions. Please make sure all of your questions have been answered before reserving kitten. Please let us know that you have read and understand our sales information when contacting us regarding a kitten. Thank you.

Preparing for your new kitten
Below is some information to help you prepare for your new kitten. I appreciate all new owners being prepared for their new kitten when he/she comes home. I do suggest having everything prepared for the kitten when he/she comes home. Transitioning to a new home can be a stressful event for a kitten. When the new owner/family is prepared - having all the supplies, and knowing how to care for a kitten , etc -it can help in making the transition smoother and less stressful for not only the kitten but for you as well.
Here is a link to Purina's kitten care guide https://www.purinaproclub.com/sites/g/files/auxxlc346/files/2018-05/kitten_care_guide_0.pdf it is something you may want to take the time to read through. It has a lot of helpful information, items to get for the kitten, information about care, as well as things to and not to do, etc.
I do recommend that you get a carrier for the kitten. You will first use this when you take the kitten home, but it is something that you can use again in the future as well like when taking the kitten to the veterinarian, to the kennel to be boarded, to the groomer to be groomed, etc. The carrier should be large enough that the kitten will still fit into the carrier when he/she is full grown.
You should have food for the kitten to eat when he/she comes home. You are welcome to do your research and select whichever type of food you would like to go with, or you can continue feeding the food the kitten is used to. I will provide you with a small bag of the kitten's food - which if you do decide to switch foods you can mix the current food and new food together to help the kitten transition from one food to another. Our kittens eat Purina Pro plan dry kitten food.
Our kittens are used to going potty in a litter box with plain clay (non clumping) cat litter. You should have your home prepared with litterboxes and cat litter. Depending on the size of your home and if the kitten is allowed all throughout your home may depend on how many litter boxes you want to have available for him/her to use. Please make sure you keep the litter box clean. Our kittens are used to their litter boxes being cleaned after each time they pee or poop in it. You also want to make sure you keep putting your new kitten into the litter box. Being in a new home, and possibly larger home, the kitten could get lost and be unsure of where the litter box is so it is good to keep reminding him/her where it is by placing him/her in the litter box on a regular basis.
Before your kitten comes home you should have a veterinarian picked out. There are multiple reasons for this. Your kitten needs a series of vaccinations, which at his/her young are may not yet completed. If you have any questions about what vaccinations your kitten has received or will receive before you get him/her you are welcome to ask (you will also receive the kitten's vaccination record at time of pick up). You will need to contact your veterinarian ahead of time to schedule your kitten's future vaccination(s). In with the paperwork you will get when you pick up the kitten you will have record of the kitten's vaccination information.
You may also be able to get vaccinations done at a low cost vaccine clinic as well, but if you do please make sure you keep your record of the vaccination as you should keep it for your records as well as you can show the information to your regular veterinarian so they update the kitten's vaccination records in their system. At about 6 to 12 months old you will need to get your kitten spayed/neutered. You'll be able to discuss with your veterinarian the age they recommend having it done at. I do recommend that you first take your kitten to the veterinarian with the first 48 hours of having him/her. By doing this you will have your veterinarian examine your new kitten and confirm that you did in fact get a healthy kitten. It is important for you and your kitten to develop a relationship with a veterinarian for routine vet care as well as if any sort of illness/injury/emergency should occur at any point in the kitten's life.
Dear new Kitten Parent,
As a cat breeder, animal health is my top priority. That’s why I enthusiastically recommend NuVet Plus immune system builder to all of my customers. Simply put, it is the best nutritional supplement available today.
Hundreds of thousands of cats and dogs are using NuVet Plus to provide optimal health and a strong immune system. A strong immune system will protect them from environmental and food toxins such as back yard pesticides, hormones, toxic formaldehyde in furniture and carpeting. NuVet Plus also supports proper development as well as a beautiful skin and coat. Please order prior to receiving your kitten.
This is not just a vitamin. It’s an immune system builder with a precise balance of vitamins, minerals, omega fatty acids, amino acids and high-potency antioxidants. That’s why it works so well through all three stages of a cat’s life.
P For kittens - Fills the immunity gap all kittens’ experience. Shortly after birth maternal antibody effectiveness is greatly reduced. By 8 weeks your kitten’s immune system is at a vulnerable point. Once in their new home, the immune system is weakened by the stress of adoption and exposure to novel bacteria and viruses in their environment. This is also when the vaccine series is started. Vaccines are most effective if the immune system can respond properly. Starting NuVet Plus now is important to helping your kitten grow into a healthy adult.
P For cats in their prime - Provides the necessary antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals to sustain peak performance during the prime of their lives.
P For older cats - Helps provide the nutritional needs to live long, happy, and productive lives in their senior years.
I highly recommend NuVet Plus to keep your pet on the path to perfect health! It’s not available in stores, and is only available to the general public with an order code from an authorized pet professional.
For your convenience, you may order online by clicking on this link www.nuvet.com/93674 or directly from the manufacturer by calling 800-474-7044 and using Order Code: 93674,. You can also save an additional 15% and assure you never run out of NuVet by choosing the “AutoShip” option at check out.

Many cat owners love to get cat trees and beds for their pets. There are many different types of cat trees and beds on the market. The cat trees/towers that I recommend are made by Kuranda. Kuranda makes orthopedic, chew proof, and easy to clean dog and cat beds. They also make the beds in different sizes, types, materials, and colors. These cat beds are very easy to clean compared to other cat trees - carpeting on cat trees cat be difficult to keep clean, keep free of hair, and can also hold odor. Some cat trees can also be made of cardboard parts which are also difficult to keep clean and odor free.
Please check out Kuranda's website for more information and options for Kuranda cat and dog beds http://partnerlink.kuranda.com/16273

Ragdoll kittens
Please note Ragdoll kittens are very light in color when they are born. As they age their color comes in better to show their color and markings.
Please note, due to the lighting in some photos it may be hard to tell, but the Ragdoll kittens all have blue eyes. Because Ragdolls do have blue eyes, they could have red eye in a photo due to their blue eyes and the flash of the camera.
Mink Ragdolls may have aqua eyes.
Our Ragdoll parents are HCM health tested. They do not have or carry HCM.
ans do not have and do not carry PKD.
